Area Covered
Jim Berton - Stencils using Warner McGee's SHEro (8:00)
Jim Berton - Displacements using a doily (turn off anti-aliasing when using a stencil) (16:00)
Yazan - Using leafs, he explains Stencils - v - Alpha transparencies (20:00)
Yazan - explains gamma (30:00)
Jim brings up Geometry cache size from a conversation from Ryan Drue at SIGGRAPH 2010 (43:00)
You should set this as high as your system will allow - e.g. using a 32-bit system - max setting 4Gig or using a 64-bit system - can max it to 16Gig. This is adjusted under Preferences
Yazan - using blur and anti-aliasing for displacement & bump maps and resolution sizes
Yazan - gamma
Yazan - micro-Poly Displacement
Yazan - low values & high values
Yazan - assigning multiple materials to the same polygon using selection sets
Yazan - creating neon light materials
Yazan - reflection & blend modes
Yazan - irridescent materials (pearls, soap bubbles)
Yazan - defraction grading (rainbow surface on a CD)
Presenters
Jim Berton & Yazan Malkosh
